Dr. Abdirashid Ismail, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, currently working at Dr. Ismail Specialty Hospital and Hargeisa Group Hospital, in Hargeisa. He completed his residency in orthopedic and trauma surgery at Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia, followed by a fellowship in Joint Replacement and Sports Medicine at Bezmialem Vakif University in Istanbul, Turkey.
Dedicated to lifelong learning, Dr. Abdirashid consistently strives to enhance his skills and achieve the best possible outcomes for his patients. His expertise includes the Direct Anterior Approach for hip replacement, a European standard surgery that minimizes muscle damage and reduces the risk of dislocation.
Dr. Abdirashid has extensive experience in cartilage repair and joint preservation, minimally invasive hip and knee joint replacement, as well as sports ligament repair and reconstruction
